re: The Entity

Wrapped together all Entity tactics in our forum to this summary...

 

First Phase (Trash phase)

6 minute timer to clear 3 waves of mobs: Each wave with 3 different mobs.

Wave 1: Lower platform right side door.

Wave 2: Lower platform left side door.

Wave 3: Middle platform left side door.

Each mob must be killed individually. 2 tanks kite Xenomaster and 2 tanks kite Apotheosis (they cast ignore buffs on aggro holder so 2 tanks are needed).

First Vivifier (melee and Holy damage): The Vivifier is taken directly to dps team. Use silence on "Aid of Yag", the best is ToS Thundering Voice as it will silence the Holy Radiance that Vivifier casts right after. TW after "Cure of Yag" if "Aid of Yag" wasn´t silenced. Cast magic shields on Holy Radiance (AoE). Run out on "Holy radiance" if you are low on health.

Xenomaster (melee damage): Kiters bring the Xenomaster to the dps team timing it when Vivifier is going down. He casts “silence the void” quite often blocking any casters nearby.

Apotheosis (melee damage): Kiters bring the Apotheosis to the dps team timing it when Xenomaster is going down. Most dangerous of the 3 mobs. Stay behind it, "Knockout Cleave" is high damage frontal cone. Never dps on Apotheosis before he is positioned and well tanked.

Designated tanks for Vivifier, Xenomaster and Apotheosis run to the next door when Apotheosis is at 50% health. Make sure you don’t use aggro abilities after you brought a mob to the dps team (the tanks at the dps team must hold the aggro).

After 6 min: The Entity will break out of his cocoon, and the Boss fight begins. Wipe raid and change some toons for this fight. As soon as any dead or alive toon stays by the Entity the trash mob phase will not restart.

 

The Entity second phase

Max your range attacks as you can´t pull aggro (yes you need to tweak your feat tree for your range dps toon or your dps will be crappy).  PoM´s and ToS:es make sure you have a range damage build.

Platform setup: It is very important that 3 toons are close to the edge of each platform with healers in the back. 3 toons at the edge is minimum as less will give damage buff and bombardment will hit higher (also the tanks takes more damage if not 3 players are in front positions). Dont stand too close to body block Acquiring Target.

 

Dynamics of the fight

Coercive Power has max 3 stacks (what happens if you don´t have 3 toons in correct position):

- 900 Damage Deflection and 25% Magical Damage Modifier on all bosses (3 stacks!)

- You remove 1 stack by having 1 person on each of the 3 bottom platforms around The Entity. So therefore 3 persons must stay on each platform all the time.

- The Damage Deflection buff goes off when removed 2 stacks.

 

- When removing the third buff, by using 3 people on all 3 bottom platforms, the 25% Magical Damage Modifier goes away.

Wrath of the Entity: Random low fire damage.

Acquiring Targets: (each 55 sec, but first Acquiring target comes after 20 sec). RUN out if you see the Red particle effect on your toon -> Photon Beam is going to follow you and kill anything in its way. You need to be away for 15 seconds.

 

Projecting Image: Buffs each Mental Projection with 1 stack of Void Stalker Buff, or spawn a new if there is none.

Bombardment (each 40 sec, 7 sec duration): AoE Damage rotation on all the platforms (twice on middle platform by the entrance). You need high fire protection gear and AA protection, aim at minimum 20% fire protection (not a problem with T3 cloak, T3 ring, T3 necklace with AA Chromatic wardens and AA fire protection) and yes you loose dps by adding protection gear. Use fire protection buffs and bubbles at bombardment.

Necros should have invested AA points to reduce cooldown on Quell Ether as this gives 1500 fire protection for the group. Cast it on bombardment and the fight is usually smooth. 

 

Commanding Death (every 60 seconds): Vortexes start spawning when the Entity reaches 50% health and goes for the closest toon. If a vortex reaches a platform it will kill the toons there and heal The Entity (wipe). Use a ToS who can quell the vortex by stepping into it using a bubble (each of Storm Blood, Power of Serpent Ring and Serpent Transmutation works). Make sure your ToS:es got a grip on cooldown for bubble rotation and if a ToS has bubble on cooldown simply kite the vortex until it disappears. You can see my ToS Tutorial in the class forum.

 

 

Mental Projections (upper platform)

Plasma Projections: The projection mob will cast some explosion fire damage AoE spell 10-11 times before bombardment, move away on bombardment. No need to work towards killing the projections with our tactic, work on keeping your health bar intact.

Bombardment (each 40 sec, 7 sec duration): AoE Damage rotation on all the platforms.

All others, look here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQFGgkrDYI0 at 2:37 you can see the particle effect of acquiring targets. On 4:37 you can see the ToS using storm blood (electrical bubble) quelling a Vortex. And at 6:19 the ToS quells another Vortex with a different bubble.

 

Summary:

This is a full out nuke on the boss with ranged attacks (make sure your Feat Tree is adapted for this).
